The REGEFOR workshop was held during three days in Champenoux, near Nancy, France, from the 8th to the 10th of June, 2009. Advantages and inconveniences of short rotation coppice culture were largely discussed. A window was also devoted to the presentation of CREFF.
This year, the subject of the workshop was "forest facing the energetic challenges" and a large part was dedicated to short and very short rotation coppice culture. Notably, the CREFF project was presented during the forum session "resource mobilisation and new production systems" and the principles of short rotation woody cultivation were presented by JC Bastien (INRA Orléans, coordinator of the French project SYLVABIOM) during the plenary session "production systems to be devolepped. These two presentations can be uploaded here and here, respectively.
The programme of the workshop is still available here.
