In the framework of the UPM Stracel co-operation with a certain number of farmers from Alsace, CREFF has recently delivered optimized establishment guidelines for SRC plantations on diverse sites, varying from very wet to very dry.
The guidelines contain among other a short description of the different sites, proposals for the most adapted species, planting methods and harvesting techniques and a cost evaluation of the proposed model.
The guidelines are the result of the merging of the advises from specialists of the 5 CREFF work packages.
