The guidelines focus on teh entire SRC value chain from site and species selection, plantation establishmentand management, possible risks and difficulties to harvest and storage/drying methods. Furthermore information on the current legal framework, environmental aspects as well as an economical evaluation are provided. This theoretical information is based on data from literature review as well as practical experiences made during the running period of CREFF. The guidelines are meant to provide necessary informtion in order to ease the decision taking process of farmers as well as to give further, technical support once the plantation is established.
